Today, I wanted to share a few of my favorite basics that round out my wardrobe. Though it may not be the most exciting outfit in the world, there’s always something refreshing about jeans paired with a white t-shirt, especially it they fit well and are super comfortable.
Let’s start with the white t-shirt. I purchase white t-shirts all the time because they stain so easily, but I could never find one that I absolutely loved–they were either too low cut, too high cut, too see through, or just didn’t fit well. I’d heard that lots of people had loved the Everlane tees, but it still took me a good year or so till I finally ordered one to try myself. And it actually lived up to the hype–the v-neck is the perfect length, it’s not too tight or too loose, and it’s not too sheer. Plus, I’ve spilled things on it several times and they’ve all come out easily in the wash. It is maybe just a little long on my torso, but other than that, it really is the perfect white t-shirt.
Next up are these Paige verdugo jeans. I found them on the sale rack at Anthropologie for $90, marked down from $179. Like Everlane, I’d heard people rave about Paige jeans before but even at almost half off, the price tag was a little hard to swallow. When I tried them on, however, they were seriously the most amazing jeans I’d ever worn–super soft, fitted but not too tight, and definitely looked great from the back. I’ve worn them as often as I can since then, and they never seem to stretch out or lose their shape. I guess there is something to be said for designer jeans!
Lastly, my J. Crew suede flats. I practically live in comfy flats during the school year and had been searching for a pink-ish pair to add a pop of color to my wardrobe. So when I found these on sale on the J.Crew website, I knew they’d be perfect. I often have a hard time even wearing flats for long periods of time, but these are super fitted and supportive–I cannot stop wearing them!
So those are three of my favorite basics items–any others out there?
