Happy Saturday, friends!
We’re heading to the bucolic area of Chipping Camden and the Cotswolds this weekend to explore and we’re renting a car for the first time so wish us luck! It should be quite an adventure, but I’m happy to be the passenger and not in the driver seat for this one. I still need to work up the nerve to drive a manual on the wrong side of the road!
Here are a few things I was reading/loving this week:
First off, I have two great promotions I am so excited to share with you!
- Stitch Fix, the online styling service that gets shipped to your door, is offering all of my readers a WAIVED STYLING FEE for all first time fixers through the end of November! It typically costs $20 per fix (that you can then deduct if you keep something), so this is a perfect time to try Stitch Fix completely risk free. Note: To get the free fix, you have to sign up via this link to get the deal and once you get to the site, click the banner that says “Your 1st Styling Fee is on us if you order within..” Easy! If you’re still on the fence, check out all of my Stitch Fix reviews here: August, ’17 here, July ’17 review here, March ’17 review here, December ’16 review here, November ’16 review here, April ’16 review here, July ’16 review here, and December ’15 review here. Just make sure you come back to this page and click through the links to get the free fix! (Note – I receive a small commission per new customer but as you can see, I love and use this service all the time myself!)
- If you’ve been a long time reader or know me personally, you’ll know that there has never been an exercise program I believe in more fully than Barre3. I was an athlete my entire life and that easily transitioned into competitive classes like spin and kickboxing in college, however, I was never satisfied with the results I was getting or how depleted I felt after taking a class. I came across Barre3 while marathon training and fell in love with its combination of pilates, yoga, and barre and mostly, it’s mantras of self love and care. It’s truly a beautiful community both in studio and online, and it’s totally transformed my body and the way I approach exercise – total win-win! I subscribe solely online and the new weekly videos keep me super motivated still, plus the instructor of the week hosts an ongoing comment thread where you can interact with fellow Barre3ers and the instructors, which adds a whole other aspect to the online community. Okay, on to the point! Through the end of November, Barre3 is offering $15 off all online workouts for new subscribers! That makes the cost of your first month only $14, essentially the cost of 2.5 drinks at Starbucks, but you’re doing something so important for your body + mind this holiday season. Full disclosure – I also receive $15 for each new signee – however, if the paragraph above doesn’t convince you how deeply enamored with this service I am, feel free to shoot me a comment or e-mail because Barre3 is really one of my greatest passions in life and I love to talk about it!
Okay, now onto the rest of the weekend reads:
The Whole Foods trend forecast for 2018 is out. Any guesses about what healthy food trends they’re predicting to be popular next year?
This pumpkin spice nut milk recipe is giving me life.
Target is offering 20% off all shoes and up to 20% all cold weather accessories (including sweaters!) through Saturday. I was browsing through their sweater section a few days ago and the following caught my eye:
In the past month, I’ve learned that England is the land of advent calendars – every store has them and they have pretty much every theme covered! The Mirror rounded up just a few of them…
Take 30% off EVERYTHING at Kate Spade with code ONPURPOSE through Sunday! Two percent of all net sales go to their community project in Rwanda as well.
I just finished the third installment of Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike novels (aka JK Rowling’s crime series under a pseudonym) and it was amazing!! I cannot recommend them enough if you like detective novels. I listened to the audiobook version and the narrator is one of the best I’ve ever listened to too and a great way to get some reading in while taking public transit/walking. (Audible subscriptions also make great holiday gifts!)
Have a wonderful weekend!!
