Happy Friday, friends!
To end the week, I wanted to share some of my favorite homemade latte recipes. I find myself craving lattes more and more this time of year because of the colder weather and because they just feel festive. However, I don’t find myself craving the extra sugar added to most of them or paying extra for almond milk since I try to limit dairy as much as possible. So basically, that means either I splurge on one while I’m out and end with the inevitable stomach ache, or I make them at home, which is basically what I do most of the time now.
I use my Nespresso machine if I want a traditional latte with espresso (see yesterday’s gift guide round-up of gadgets and tech!) or I’ll make just add tea for a smaller caffeine dose. Most of the recipes rely on maple syrup for sweetener. If you can find a fancy one with added ingredients like vanilla (like this one!), it will make the drink that much more special. I also use a hand frother to get the creaminess and foam I want out of the almond milk. I have this exact one – it’s under $7 on Amazon and has held up really well despite Jeff continuously dropping into the wet sink!
Okay, here are the homemade latte recipes:
I also just read that one of my fav bottled chai brands – Bhakti – now makes an unsweetened chai tea concentrate! It appears to be sold out on Amazon but if anyone spots it in a store or has a chance to try it, I’d love to know how it tastes!
Do you make lattes at home? Any favorite varieties or recipes?
