Happy Monday, friends!
How was your weekend? We went back to Kenilworth on Saturday to check out the Kenilworth Castle. It was the perfect fall day for touring the castle ruins (lots of photos coming tomorrow!) and just enjoying the fall sunshine. Afterwards, we walked down the street to one of the pubs we discovered the last time they were there and they had pumpkin beer on tap, our first of the season since that’s not really a thing they do here – it was meant to be!
The day started out pretty cool but since we were doing a lot of walking, I didn’t really want to have to lug my jacket around with me once it warmed up, so I opted for this blanket scarf to top off a warm and cozy fall look. Blanket scarves are definitely one of my fav accessories for fall (read about my other two favs here) and this one that I picked up from Target a few years ago is always the one I reach for. I love that it’s not completely massive like a lot of blanket scarves are but still super warm.
I have it wrapped as more of a circle scarf here but later in the day, I expanded it so that it actually served as more of a blanket and substitute jacket against the cold which was perfect for the blustery day. This infographic is a great resource for other ways to tie a blanket scarf.
And of course, I rounded up lots of cute (and affordable!) blanket scarf options at the end of the post. I really want to check out this burgundy one from Kohls in person – it’s only $16 and comes in three other colors!
