Happy Monday, friends!
How was your weekend? We pretty much just stayed around the house since we’ve both been so busy and have been trying to recover from colds. We also watched Sing Street Saturday night – have you guys seen it? We’re a little late to the party but it was so good!
This week, I get to do a little more traveling – to Stratford-Upon-Avon and then to London. I’ve always wanted to see Stratford-Upon-Avon – as an English major, I took pretty much every Shakespeare class that was offered, including a non-Shakespearean Elizabethan drama course which I also loved. I also analyzed film performances of Rosalind from Shakespeare’s As You Like It for my senior project. So needless to say, this trip has been a long time coming!
And then it only seems appropriate that Tuesday marks the one month anniversary of moving to England and I’m heading to London for the day, which is where we fell in love with this country to begin with when we both studied abroad here almost a decade ago. I’m going to try and make it to a few museums and do some thrift shopping, which should be fun. I hear the Victoria and Albert Museum has a Balenciaga exhibition I really want to check out. I also so want to go back to the British Library for their Harry Potter themed rooms in October!
I put together this casual boyfriend jean look for an afternoon of grocery shopping, which means lots of walking since we don’t have a car. This exact shirt is from Stitch Fix but I rounded up some other great options below too, as well as some similar pairs of boyfriend jeans.
Have a great week!
