Happy Weekend, friends!
I’m spending a few days soaking up the last of the California sunshine with my family before I leave for England on Monday! I’m hoping to at least have one post for you all up early next week and then after I land.
In the meantime, here’s what I was reading this week:
Speaking of great trench coats, the Banana Republic Friends & Family sale is going on right now for cardholders – you can get 50% off all full price items, with no exclusions – and I’m dying over this trench cape!
I’m a sucker for nice soaps and this round-up talks about the best for kitchen, bathrooms, etc.
Brighton the Day’s pantry reorganization is a Type A dream!
Loved this post by Emily Henderson about last weekend’s events in Charlottesville. As many of you know, I traveled to Charlottesville at least once a month (it was once a week for awhile) after I had my concussion and love the area like a second home. It was horrifying reading/watching everything that happened and feeling so far away from my Virginia friends and family. We’ve come a long way in this county but have oh so much further to go – love your neighbors, stand up for what’s right, speak out for others who can’t; white supremacy and racial intolerance should never be okay, despite what some current rhetoric would have you believe.
On a lighter note, this easy sweet corn soup is the perfect ode to the end of summer.
Keeping this armchair round-up bookmarked for future reference.
