Happy Monday, friends!
How was your weekend? We have been squeezing as much as possible into our time in California. On Thursday, we went to see Dunkirk (total immersive experience but lacking in plot) and then on Friday night we babysat my brother’s dogs while he and his girlfriend went to the Rubicon.
On Saturday, we headed to Lodi to see family and stopped by Michael David Winery (they make one of my favorite zins – Seven Deadly) and tasted wine then sat out in their beautiful lounge area. We then met by parents for dinner in downtown Sacramento before going to a River Cat’s game – it’s been quite a busy few days!
So on Saturday, I needed an outfit that could be comfortable in a car ride and still both winery and baseball game appropriate, which wasn’t the easiest task. I decided to break out my new black dress (under $60!) which is bodycon style but so comfy and then dress it down with my Birkenstocks and a chambray shirt borrowed from my Mom and a Giant’s baseball hat borrowed from my brother’s girlfriend – you gotta do what you can when your wardrobe is being shipped cross country!
We’re hoping to get into the pod today and I’m extremely excited to have more options again, though it has been really fun to stretch my styling of the few items I have. I’ve come up with a few outfits that I absolutely love that I never would have tried before because of it, like this one– I’m kinda obsessed with the result of layered casual style!
