I recently ordered a few new summery items and though I didn’t keep much, I wanted to share what I tried on and the hits/misses from Loft, Target, and TJ Maxx. Plus, Loft Friends & Family is currently happening for 40% off your purchase and Target is offering $10 off $50 on clothes/accessories with code STYLE10, so there are great deals to be had!
Inked Floral Printed Shorts. I had a lot of trouble with the fit of Loft shorts last year, but when I saw these, I knew I had to order them. They’re lighter weight than a lot of their other shorts and flowy, which is perfect for summer. Stay tuned for how I styled them next week!
Lotus Ruffle Jumpsuit (on sale!). I wanted to like this jumpsuit, but the proportions just didn’t work for me, in both the petite and regular versions.
Plaid Bell Sleeve Top (on sale!). The fabric of this top is a bit strange and crinkly but it has a fun relaxed, oversized look. However, I already have enough plaid in my wardrobe, so back it went.
Gingham Lace Birdcage Skirt. I used to own a really similar skirt but sold it last year because it didn’t fit any more, so when I saw this Who What Wear version, I snatched it up before it sold out. I wore it on Monday and it is really delicate, so you have to be careful about the eyelets catching in everything, but is absolutely gorgeous.
C&C California Oddyseia Maxi Dress. I’m a sucker for a white summer dress so had to order it to try on. Plus, it is currently still in stock at other retailers for over $200, so it was a steal I couldn’t pass up. However, the sides of the dress are just a little too open for my taste–double sided tape would definitely be required haha.
Moon River Cold Shoulder Fringe Top. I love the idea of this top but the fabric was a little heavy and overwhelming for me. It’s gorgeous though!
C&C California Dahna Tunic Dress. This dress is really similar to the white one and came with similar problems. If you’re smaller busted, you might be able to get away with it, but I had to return it.
Have you purchased any great finds recently?
