Today, I thought it might be fun to look ahead to some of the trends that are bound to be popular this spring, as well as some of my favorites as we move towards the warmer months–especially since it seems like spring may be here a bit sooner this year!
Off the Shoulder. This is a trend that I definitely have a love/hate relationship with. On one hand, I think off the shoulder tops are super cute and can really be a statement, outfit making piece. But on the other hand, you definitely need to try them on before you buy because too many of them are super restricting for pretty much any arm movement, which does not work with my busy lifestyle!
Bell Sleeves. This is another trend that I love to hate or hate to love. I think bell sleeves, like an off the shoulder blouse or dress, are absolutely gorgeous, but for me, I need the bell to happen way before my wrist or again, it will limit its usefulness. Playing with proportions, however, is a great way to elevate your look, so I’ll be on the hunt for the perfect piece!
Embroidery. I keep seeing the cutest embroidered pieces popping up, which is great because I still have a few items in my wardrobe from the last time they were popular.
Midi Skirts. For the longest time, I didn’t think midi skirts worked with my petite frame (kinda like boyfriend jeans!), but again, it’s all about finding the perfect skirt. I love pairing a midi skirt with a more fitted or even cropped top to balance out the weight of the skirt in the summer, too.
Espadrilles. This is a trend that you can find at any price point right now, so do some shopping around to find the best pair for use. I prefer the open toed version just because it lets my feet breath a little bit more, but both are super cute!
Soft Pinks. Everything I add to my store wish lists these days seems to be in a soft pink–it is definitely the color of the season and a great way to ease your wardrobe back into color.
What trends/styles are you looking forward to this spring?
