For those of you who don’t know, Stitch Fix is an online shopping service where you fill out a style profile, pay $20, and then a stylist chooses clothing items based on your preferences and requests and ships them to you on the requested date. If you choose to keep something, you receive the $20 styling fee back in terms of $20 off the item purchased. If you happen to purchase all 5 items, you also receive 25% off your total purchase!
I asked my stylist mainly for edgy and holiday party appropriate items, a dress I could wear out on my birthday, and any cross-front or back items and pair of distressed black skinny jeans if they had any. And heres’ what I got:
Page VI for Stitch Fix Ashanti Lace Up Knit Top ($44). This top is super cute and really soft. It’s not something that immediately caught my eye, but I kept it to keep my styling fee and wear as a casual item.
Brixon Ivy Arionna Embellished Neckline 2fer Dress ($74). This dress came out of left field. This is a cute, edgy dress that I would want to wear out on my birthday? Not even close! It also didn’t fit right so it definitely went back.
41Hawthorn Monfer Faux Leather Scallop Trim Blouse ($58). This top wasn’t really anything special and fit pretty big.
Andrew Marc Gatton Real Leather Jacket ($288). This jacket was amazing, but holy price tag! It was so soft and fit like a glove–I didn’t want to take it off, but alas, I sent it back.
Pistola Dahlia High Rise Distressed Skinny Jean ($68). I had asked for a pair of distressed black skinny jeans and these were close, but were really stiff and I didn’t love the wash.
With the exception of the dress, my stylist found lots of items from my wish list, but nothing that hit it out of the park, unfortunately. I definitely think that the pickier I get, the harder it is to rely on others to get my style!
