Even though the holidays can be extremely busy, I always try to find a little time here and there to squeeze in some baking or extra festive holiday cooking. Sometimes I put that cooking energy into homemade gifts–like with the marbled bread and chocolate bark–and sometimes I just get to enjoy it for myself.
Either way, I know cooking definitely gets me into the holiday spirit!
Pumpkin Chocolate Walnut Pancakes. These pancakes are such a delicious, special treat to have on a weekend morning.
Egg is a Squash Hole. We make eggs every weekend and putting one inside a piece of squash is a festive take on an egg-in-a-hole–and healthier!
Marbled Chocolate Pumpkin Banana Bread. I made a variation of this bread last year to give as gifts and it was a big hit. It’s vegan too!
Dark Chocolate Peppermint Swirl Bark. I also gave this peppermint bark away as gifts a few years ago–it’s much easier than it looks and always turns out gorgeous!
Chai Spiced Snickerdoodles w/ Coconut Whipped Cream. I have to make Christmas cookies at some point and these are a fun twist on the classic recipe.
Happy holiday cooking!
