I was in Charlottesville this past weekend for my chiro appointment and of course, had to stop by all of the stores we don’t have, including Anthropologie and Banana Republic, before hitting the road for home.
Anthropologie had a ton of amazing new fall arrivals. Here’s what I tried on:
Sweater: Sabra Pullover // Leggings: Pilco Jacquard Jeans // Loved the detail on this sweater but dolman sleeves do not work with my broad shoulders. The leggings have a subtle paisley print and would be super cute with longer sweaters this winter.
Top: Rosewood Lace Blouse // Skirt: Gallery Skirt // This top is absolutely gorgeous (though obviously see through!) and while this skirt is super on trend and high quality, was just a little too long on my short frame.
Jacket: Vegan Leather Moto Jacket // Top: Hidra Silk Blouse // Pants: The Essential Slim // This outfit though! I’ve been on the search for a leather (faux) jacket that doesn’t make me look broader than I am and this one is pretty much perfect. This top (shown in detail below) is billowy and gorgeous and these pants would make a great fall work pant (run big).
Dress: Farfara Dress// This dress was my favorite item I tried on–totally NYFW worthy! If I wasn’t on a self-administered shopping ban this month, it totally would have come home with me.
Here’s what I tried on at Banana:
Dress: Pleated Lace Dress // I was totally in love with this dress. I never wear black nor do I love shoulder details since they tend to accent my already broad back/shoulders but this dress was the perfect blend of femininity and fierceness. It comes in olive too! (size down).
Skirt: Pleated Lace Skirt // This skirt was on sale but I had to share anyway. It runs large but the color is totally gorgeous.
Black Jean: Skinny Ankle Jean // Navy Top: Tiered Ruffle Top // This jean is sort of a soft coated black jean–it fit great at the waist but was a little baggy in the rear. Definitely loved the pleated detail on this navy tee–perfect to dress up or down.
