I finished up my first weekend on the musical I’m in (The Music Man!) so it has been a bit hectic around these parts for the last few weeks. I love being on stage, but it definitely is a bit more of a time consumer than I remember!
Today, I thought I’d share my go-to iced matcha latte recipe that I make most mornings before work. I’ve been trying to reduce my coffee consumption lately and this matcha latte is such a great substitute.
I like to sweeten mine with a little stevia and cinnamon but feel free to use whatever sweetener you like best — I do love a little honey every once in awhile!
Iced Matcha Latte
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon matcha powder
3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 stevia packet
Place ice in cup.
Heat water to just under boiling. Meanwhile, place matcha powder in a small bowl.
When the water is ready, pour onto the matcha powder and whisk until frothy.
Pour matcha water mixture over the ice and stir in almond milk, vanilla and stevia.
Top with a dash of cinnamon and enjoy!
Time: 5 minutes
