Our first day in Washington D.C. was absolutely frigid with wind chills in the mid-twenties, so I did my best to layer as much as possible to stay warm but also comfortable enough for a long day of touring.
I wore these riding boots every single day we were there since they kept me even warmer and were great for days of endless walking.
I meant to take my gloves off for these photos but it was so cold I’m not sure my fingers would have functioned without them. Also not pictured — the wool headband I put on immediately after these photos. The cold was definitely trumping everything!
