I finally managed to finish off my 3rd can of pumpkin with this recipe (and another that’s coming next week) so maybe, just maybe, I’ll be done with pumpkin recipes for awhile. No promises though–I’ve kind of loved it all!
This pumpkin chocolate chai smoothie was my latest invention. I’m not sure why it’s never occurred to me to combine chai and pumpkin together in a smoothie when I drink the Starbuck’s pumpkin chai latte mix all the time, but somehow it hadn’t until recently. And the results were divine!
I also added a little stevia for extra sweetness even though there is quite a bit of sugar in the chai latte mix itself. I drink stevia sodas and vitamin water all the time, so I’m used to the flavor it adds but if you’re not, you might want to omit that or add a little maple syrup instead.
The pumpkin chai combo will continue next week!
Pumpkin Chocolate Chai Smoothie
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 cup canned pumpkin
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
1/4 cup chai latte mix
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 packet (1g) stevia
Combine all ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth.
Time: 5 minutes
