This is me, totally oblivious to the fact that I had just sustained a concussion a half hour earlier. You know, since normal people don’t get concussions from putting away their make-up in the hall closet and smacking the side of their head in the process. I just figured I had a headache, and a minor one at that. Fast forward two days and with an onset of dizziness and difficulty concentrating, I went to the doctor and wouldn’t you know it, concussion. No fun.
The past two weeks have been trying, to say the least, and I am so ready to put them behind me for a fun weekend of wedding festivities before heading back to Cali for my last week of summer–there’s truly no better way to celebrate! In the meantime, I’ll be around here a bit, but I still have to be careful and ease back into my normal routines.
Back during normal, non-concussed summer day, I got bored one afternoon and decided to take a pair of scissors + a razor to do a little DIY distress action on this pair of grey Loft jeans. I loved the jeans, but I’d really only worn them once since I purchased them six months ago and felt like they needed a little something extra to make them more marketable in my wardrobe. It seemed to have worked because I’ve been wearing them all the time now–they’re even making the Cali trip!
I love this outfit both with and without the scarf. Without, it just has that polished monochromatic look from the front that I almost never go for, but love here. And when I turn around, there goes the monochromatic-ness anyway! But, I’m always a sucker for color, so I also love the pop the floral scarf adds to the front of the look as well.
Which do you prefer–all grey in the front or with the colorful scarf?
