The trees may still be in hibernation mode, but it was a glorious 67 degrees when we took these photos on our walk on Saturday. I mean, I even got to break out my walking sandals!
I purchased these sandals when we were studying abroad in London. I had only brought sensible walking shoes, but they were a little too sensible and not really working in a fashion forward city. So, when I saw these beauties in a store window, I knew I had to have them. I kept going into stores, trying to find a size 8, but they were all sold out every time.
Finally, I tried one more and the employee had sense enough to ask if I was talking about a British size 8 or an American size 8. Turns out an American 8 is actually a 5 in England–oops! So I was able to walk out of the store with happy feet and shoes that have pretty much carried me everywhere.
They’re kinda worse for the wear these days, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to part with them. There’s just too many memories!
