This photo was pre-Christmas tree falling over, with all of the ornaments carefully placed and spaced evenly apart. And yes, the Christmas tree really did fall all the way over. I was just sitting on the couch, writing this post actually, when I saw the movement and screamed, panicking, instead of actually trying to stop it from happening.
It hit half on the ground and half on our coffee table, but we only lost 3 ornaments out of the entire ordeal. One of them was my favorite Big Ben ornament my mother had gotten Jeff and I to commemorate our time in London, which was super sad, but with how many ornaments landed safely on the hard coffee table, I’ll count us lucky.
This outfit just seemed to fit with the Christmas/holiday feeling for me, and I wore it do a little holiday shopping this weekend. I love not just mixing rich winter hues of red + navy, but also mixing the textures of corduroy, wool, velvet (on the trim of the sweater), and metal on the edges of the boots. And since I can’t seem to ever take these pants off, I’ll find just about anything to pair them with these days!
