Any Project Runway fans out there? I can’t sew really anything (ironically, I was the TA for home ec in 8th grade…) but somehow, Project Runway has earned its spot as my number one reality tv show. There’s just something about the process of creating something out of nothing–and the talent is just unbelievable. So excited for the finale tonight!
And, for the most part, its one of the few reality shows that minimizes the drama and emphasizes the creation process/product. Well, with the exception of the beginning of this season–I was beyond glad when Sandro left the show!
This look just bridges between the gap trendy and wearable enough to make it a staple in my wardrobe. I love the pattern mixing with the camo skinnies on the bottom and the sheer navy polka dot shirt on top. Though the patterns are a bit busy, the main colors–blue and green–are complimentary enough to make it work. Plus, the relative size of the patterns helps out too.
I picked up this faux brown leather jacket from TJ Maxx the other day. I’ve had one on my shopping list for quite awhile now and know I’ll get a lot of use out it this fall. The price still wasn’t a steal–$60–but similar jackets retail for about twice that, so I’ll take it. Plus, I love that its faux leather. I’d so much rather have faux than the real thing, especially since the imitations look so great these days!
