In between hours of running and football watching this weekend, I promised Jeff that we’d find a few hours to head to the pumpkin patch. This weekend was really our only chance since we’ll be in Charleston next weekend for Zac Brown Band’s Southern Ground Music & Food Festival (so excited!) and then have crazier running plans + a choir concert + a Halloween party the following weekend.
Since we had such a good time last year, we decided to head back to Sinkland Farms to get our pumpkin patch on. Like last year, the place was packed full of families + college students. I loved all of the cute, rustic touches they put on everything, especially the troughs used to hold the myriad pumpkin varieties.
We decided to forgo picking out of the bins, though, and took the tractor ride out to the actual pumpkin patch. Jeff succeeded in picking his perfect, traditional pumpkin while I gravitated toward the green, speckled, unique looking ones. They’ll make a perfect pair on our front porch!
How have you been getting in the fall spirit?
