Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of our moving to Virginia! It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a full year since we packed up our lives in SLO and took a week to travel across country before arriving in Virginia for the first time (for me at least!). In some ways, the move has been much easier of an adjustment than I’d originally though, but in other ways, it’s been a lot harder. But, with only four years left, there’s still so much I want to do here, and I wouldn’t change where we are living for the world.
Let’s look back at what things looked like a year ago:
A year ago, I was giddy/terrified/in full survival mode when I saw this sign for the first time, and when we somehow accidentally navigated past our new townhouse.
A year ago, Padfoot was happy to be out of her car cage, but scared to death of her new surroundings. She spent the first month hiding under the kitchen cabinets.
A year ago, my living room look liked this.
A year ago today, we ventured downtown for the first time and stumbled across this festival–quite a welcome to a new town and one I’m looking forward to repeating this weekend!
