I almost never buy things for full price. Even when I have a 40% off coupon, I usually hit the sale racks first to see what I can find. However, when we miraculously ended up shopping on Mother’s Day in Alexandria, I just couldn’t resist snagging a few amazing finds at stores that I knew I wouldn’t be back to for months. That’s a good excuse, right?
We ended up browsing a few local stores and though I tried a few things on at Anthro and Banana, I hit the jackpot when I stepped into Ann Taylor. The store was packed with amazing prints and structured neutrals–I think I ended up trying on about 20 items!
Two of the pieces from that shopping trip are featured in this outfit: the printed pants + white shirt.
Even though I love these Talbot’s printed pants, I was on the look out for a different pair with a more neutral color palate that also hit more at the ankle instead of at the calf.
I also think I’ll get a ton of wear out of this breezy white crochet top in the summer here, plus it’s so unlike anything I have in my wardrobe.
So despite these pieces being full price (+ 30% off), I know they’ll become investment pieces in my wardrobe in the long haul.
