With the hope of the weather eventually warming up for good, I went shopping a few weekends ago for a more spring/summery pencil skirt. I wear my classic denim/navy one from Loft constantly along with a pinkish one from Talbot’s I also wear all the time, but something with a bit more bunch of color was definitely in store for spring.
I purchased this green addition at Loft during one of their recent 40% off sales. It was still more than I would usually spend on an item of clothing, but I’ve already gotten quite a bit of use out of it. Sometimes, it pays to stalk an item online for awhile, try in on in store, and then splurge a bit once you know it will be a great usable addition to your wardrobe.
I paired the skirt with a fun black and white polka dot/striped sleeveless blouse and added a punch of color with a yellow belt. For work, I’d probably add my jean jacket or a light sweater, but I love the unexpected color/pattern combo.
How do you incorporate spring into your wardrobe?
