So, this is pretty much what I wore to Fork & Cork this weekend, the wine and food festival here in Blacksburg. I say almost because I ended up ditching the blazer last second after the sun decided to come out and with the threat of thunderstorms later on, I thought it might be a bit more practical to carry around a rain jacket instead of a non-rain resistant blazer. You gotta think ahead sometimes, you know?
At outdoor events like this, I always have to be sun conscious. Like a good girl, I brought along my sunscreen to reapply throughout the afternoon, but I still need to make sure some things are covered. My shoulders have gotten enough sun abuse over the years I spent playing sports growing up, so I rarely wear a tank top if I’m going to be outside without a shade cover for awhile. I also try to wear a hat when possible–luckily I found this cute one at Target last year for $10!
Finally, comfy shoes are a must. These gladiator wedges add just the right amount of height, but since they’re super high quality, they are actually more comfortable than many flats I own.
Finally, the white cropped pants. They seemed like a brilliant idea when I was leaving the house that morning–what screams spring more than white? However, bike seat wearing off + a teensy bit of spilled wine = I got those suckers in the washing machine the second I walked through the door!
