Happy Friday everyone!!
I am so excited for the weekend! We’ll be heading to Fork & Cork most of the afternoon on Saturday and hopefully the weather cooperates–it seems like you never know what season you’re going to get around here these days!
It was a bit chilly last Saturday too, but I really wanted to do something outside after being cooped up indoors all week. Plus, I had just received my amazing new bike basket and it needed to get some use!
So we decided to meet some friends at the Farmer’s Market for a little veggie shopping and lunch before checking out a winery not too far from our house: Beliveau Winery.
The winery also has a location downtown, but we wanted to check out the actual tasting room and I’m so glad we did because it was absolutely gorgeous! They had two flights (5 wines for $4)–one dry, one sweet–so Jeff and I decided to do one of each, so we could taste it all.
Though they don’t grow any estate grapes, they do get all of their grapes within a 2 hour radius of the winery.
It was hands down the best wine we’ve had so far in Virginia, so we decided to purchase a bottle and sit out on the patio and enjoy the view–pretty much the perfect Saturday!
They also have a B & B at the winery and the tasting room hours are Thursday through Friday from 12-6pm.
You can find a lot more information about Beliveau Winery on their website here. We can’t wait to be back soon!
