So… 80 degrees? 90 degrees? What? I planned this look to be spring casual, but the weather seems to be supporting more of summer casual the last few days. And it has been absolutely fabulous! I’ve been racing out the door after work everyday, so I can get home and go on a run/bask in the glorious warm sunshine. My California skin loves it!
However, being as that California skin is also extremely pale and white, I’m thinking I need to up the sunscreen from my daily SPF 15 in my lotion. I’ve never had a problem with being pale. I keep seeing all these bloggers posting cute skirt or dress looks and apologizing for their pasty white winter legs. Me? I won’t apologize–I know I’ll always be pretty white and that’s just part of who I am. I’ll always be the one constantly reapplying sunscreen or hiding in the shade on a bright sunny day because although I may love the warmth, I would like to make it to my 30s without getting skin cancer. Sorry pale skin haters!
About this look: The turquoise skinnies are actually cords with the cutest zipper detail at the ankles. I purchased these in pink from the online J.Crew Factory store (a la this outfit) and when they went out sale, I snatched them up in this color. And then when they went on even more sale, I snatched them up in navy too. Yep, obsessed. The shirt is another one of my most recent Loft purchases and has already gotten so much use–love! I completed the spring-y look with my comfortable but still waay adorable snakeskin Sofft wedge gladiators.
I’m glad I got to wear this while I could–now onto shorts!
