Today I wanted to share with you my favorite kind of DIY project–one that requires hardly any work!
When I’m being honest with myself (a rare occurrence sometimes), I’ll admit that as much as I strive to be a perfectDIY-er, many things are just out of my reach. I just don’t have that perfection gene, I’m afraid.
On a side note, I think I have been watching a bit too much Downton Abbey over the past few days because my inner monologue as I write has suddenly turned British and is in search of more sophisticated sounding words…that’s totally normal, right?
Anyway, since I’m not the perfectionist type of DIY-er, projects like this DIY candle stick holder turned bracelet holder are right up my alley. I believe I found the inspiration somewhere on Pinterest one day–where else would I have found it, I suppose!
I’ve only really started to think about jewelry hangers and holders in the past few years. Before that, jewelry itself wasn’t much on my radar; it just seemed like an expensive novelty. And then Bauble Bar came along, and I got suckered into their Friday Buried Bauble search and the rest is pretty much history…
Now that I have a pretty healthy jewelry collection, storage has definitely become an issue. I created a necklace holder a little while back (which I’m hoping to recreate soon for you!), but bracelet storage was just a mess. So back when I was still living in SLO and had access to a Cost Plus right around the corner, I hopped on my bike and went to scour the shelves for the perfect candle stick holder to turn into a bracelet holder.
The key was finding one with the perfect width–not so fat that my bracelets couldn’t fit over it, but not so skinny that the bracelets will just slide off. Here are a few others I found scouring the interwebs that I think would do the trick as well:
What do you do for jewelry storage?
