Happy Friday folks-we survived!
Besides a little house cleaning (yuck), I am definitely excited for the weekend especially since we get to celebrate a birthday. Read: really good excuse to devour waay too many sweets + drinks. Sounds like a great weekend to me!
I’ll give you an update with all the fun festivities on Monday, but till then, I wanted to share with you that I finally found a sandwich shop with somewhat real deli sandwiches in town! Well, technically, Jeff was the one that found it since it’s (almost) on the Virginia Tech campus but luckily he felt kind enough to share the find with me.
The actual inside of the deli looks like it belongs on a college campus, but the sandwiches are excellent, so I’m definitely not complaining. They have a rotating menu of specials that run between $5.75 and $6.oo for a small sandwich, chips, and a drink. Or you can just get a large sandwich for around the same price, depending on the fixings.
The large is HUGE, so Jeff and I have been ordering one sandwich to split between the two of us–the sandwich in the picture is the large split in half! We’ve been making it a Sunday tradition to hit the shop up before we go grocery shopping to eat while we meal plan.
And, yes, like every restaurant in this town, your sandwich does come with a pickle. Or in our case, it came with 4….
