Outfit Ideas | Weekend Cargo Leggings

 Sometimes, leggings just have to make an appearance in my wardrobe. I love their casual comfy-ness that can be dressed up or down depending on the rest of the outfit. Of course, sometimes leggings can be down right scary. Leggings = not a complete substitute for pants, people! To help avoid this faux pax, I always try to make sure that the shirt I’m wearing with my leggings is just a little on the longer side, so they’re more like thick tights than complete pants. With that in mind, I must say that this shirt is a tad bit too short for my liking, because I am constantly having to pull it down to create an illusion of a longer shirt.

Like most of you, I’m sure, I find a lot of my outfit idea inspiration (as well as lots of other inspiration) on Pinterest. Heck, I even resort to using it as a search engine when I’m looking for a very specific clothing item or a certain clothing style. The only downside is that often the links don’t actually link to content which can be super frustrating if you found the perfect match for what you’d be searching for. 

I pinned this outfit many moons ago from a Banana Republic outfit collection. I think the model in the photo may actually be wearing skinny tan cords, but I thought my soft cargo leggings would do the trick. I then paired the leggings, like the inspiration photo, with my favorite riding boots, a new BR shirt, and a scarf I picked up in Paris while studying abroad in London a few years ago.
