A few weeks ago, Jeff and I decided to check out one of the restaurants we’d been wanting to for awhile: Bull & Bones Brewhaus and Grill. Judging from the name, you could already tell this was right up our alley!
According to their website,
Bull & Bones Brewhaus & Grill is a brewpub with both an upscale dining room and a separate sports bar with a casual dining area. The brewpub is located in the new “First and Main” of Blacksburg on South Main Street in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Fresh lager and ale is handcrafted and served on site and the brewery is visible through glass walls throughout the restaurant. Bull & Bones Brewhaus & Grill serves wood fired barbeque, ribs, chicken, seafood, steaks, and vegetarian entrees.
Bull & Bones Brewhaus & Grill is one of the only establishments in the New River Valley area to have southern smoked barbeque, ribs, and assorted meats and vegetables. There will also be an outdoor dining area where some dishes will be made tableside over an open flame.
The first time we went, we actually ended up going homecoming weekend and it was crazy packed with over an hour and a half wait for a table. But, we found ourselves a tiny table by the bar and decided to wait it out with a sampler.
I forgot to take pictures of our food the first time we were there, but for dinner, we split a BBQ quesadilla and nachos and were definitely impressed, so this week, we decided to head back–with camera in hand! They had their fall pumpkiny seasonal which as perfect for the freezing night.
This time, Jeff had the Jalapeno Burger:
And I had a clam chowder/salad combo:
The brewhaus also does a rewards program where if you spend a certain amount of money, you get a free growler fill and so on–definitely great incentive to go back!
