Happy Friday friends!
Two weekends ago, when my father-in-law was in town visiting, we found this fabulous, albeit short, trail just down the street from our house–the Deerfield Trail. I had come across it while browsing the Town of Blacksburg’s Parks and Rec website and thought it would be the perfect peaceful ending to a 3-day weekend.
Fall color was still pretty much in full force two weeks ago, though sadly, most of it is gone already. It was gorgeous while it lasted , but it would have been nice to experience for just a little bit longer!
The trail itself only lasts 7/10 of a mile and although absolutely gorgeous, just kinda dead ends randomly at one point at what I assume is someone’s property line.
Still, it’s a gorgeous spot for a quick walk/run or as a turn around spot for a longer run to escape the streets for a bit.
You can read more information about the trail and its location here.
