Happy weekend everyone! It’s been a hot week here–I’m definitely not used to 105 degree heat!
As I posted on Tuesday, Jeff and I headed north to Lake Tahoe for a quick anniversary getaway. The trip really couldn’t have been any better. We got there around lunchtime and immediately went to Sunnyside for lunch on their gorgeous deck.
Jeff even had flowers waiting for me at our table! The food was delicious (sorry no pictures–we devoured it!), and the manager even comped all of our drinks since it was our anniversary!
We decided to stay the night at D.L. Bliss campgrounds. I saw a write-up about it in an old sunset magazine, complete with the list of the best sites in the campgrounds. This was the view from our tent window–perfect for watching the sunrise the next morning!
The camp site was also within walking distance of a beautiful stretch of beach. We brought my parents’ kayaks and spent most of the day kayaking, swimming, and lounging around on the beach–perfect!
