Happy Monday everyone! I am so thankful for this day off!
Rosa’s is a great little Italian restaurant towards the end of Pismo Beach, and one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Jeff and I sort of stumbled onto its amazingness when we decided to celebrate my birthday there my very first year at Cal Poly, and it’s continued to be a place we gather for celebrations, like my college graduation, our wedding, and just when friends and family come to visit.
It had been almost 2 years since I’d eaten there last, but we were lucky enough to have Jeff’s parents in town for the extended weekend, so it seemed like the perfect time to revisit an old favorite. Well, we actually tried to go to Ventana Grill first, but they don’t take reservations and the wait was 2 hours!
Jeff and I sat in the bar while we waited for the rest of our party to get there and look what they had on the menu–
A Blood Orange Margarita! I told you it seems like everyone is obsessed with them these days!
One of theĀ many reasons I love Rosa’s is because of the cozy, homey feel they have inside. They decorate the place to the nines during Christmas time which is always fun too.
And then there’s the food… Everything is made from scratch, including the warm bread served as soon as you are seated.
I was craving both ravioli and spaghetti, so I decided to go with the “Half & Half” to get a little bit of both!
Jeff went with their signature pizza–mushroom, salami, sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, onion, and black olives.
Rosa’s is definitely a place that will be missed when we move!
