Blood oranges seemed to be taking over the web lately, and I am more than excited to be contributing to the trend! Well, I didn’t really realize it was a trend until we got a few in our CSA box this week and I began searching for recipes, but better late than never, right?
Jeff and I have been a tad bit obsessed with gin and tonics lately after discovering the world’s best tonic water while home visiting my parents over Christmas. It’s made by Fever Tree and has just the right amount of sugar to add a touch of sweetness to the classic drink. You can find it at World Market for $2.99 for a 16oz bottle.
When I saw we had gotten blood oranges this week, I knew exactly what to make–blood orange gin and tonics! Just a little bit of blood orange juice, gin, and tonic water–to die for!
I might just start carrying around a little blood orange juice to add to my gin and tonic when we go out–that wouldn’t be weird, would it?
